do not kill
the child of our Love
strong and curious
blinded by the light of
spring’s newly flashing
Sun
when the days were
endless magic
endless light and sound
there is hope for the
wide-eyed child of
Love
despite the sober
imperative of progress,
for the world
is green yet
full of secret places
filled with light or
promising darkness
