Fragment of a letter
Wednesday, 5 June 2019
Sunday, 14 April 2019
my eyes are filled
my eyes are filled with
your wonder
how fragile your
self-opinion seems
in comparison

Discretion
I have always felt deeply
And never met my match
In passion's ring,
How frightening do
I seem to others,
How unyielding as
A superpresent force.
I will hide my true nature
Beneath an eagle's eye,
Let my heart
Soar boldly through an
Endless inner sky.

A true heart
A true heart
Will know your beauty
Because it cares to see,
To set free rather than imprison,
To celebrate and to mourn
The past of present's memory,
And in your lips find freedom.
This night holds no guarantee,
No settled account,
But an infinite potential,
Given in a moment's grace
And gone before the rising moon,
To linger into sleeping.

what if
your whole life
in the infinity of its passing?
will you let it decide your
broken fate?
seek help before
it's too late

Goodbye to the light
Goodbye to the light,
Hello to the slipped in night,
What a fright was had.
"He could no longer fight it,"
Said the newspaper girl.
"What a swirl was his head,"
Said the postal lady,
"Between the news and lack
Of letters he knew better
Than to stay much longer.
His depression grew stronger
Or so they say,
But I'd wave every day
And he'd shoo me away so
I feel the diagnosis is true."
And so it was settled.
In the night came
And the great light waned
Until there was nothing at all.

Kindred spirit
Kindred of an aching heart
So far and hidden
To know and speak with you
Upon an open plain or
In a forest glade
Beneath a sacred tree
The earth who knows
Your face is silent
But I will supplicate
The ancient spirits
Until one night in sleep
A whisper in my ear
Will name you

O to hear a true song
O to hear a true song
Sung to me
In the dying light of day
To say a true word
Not in play but
With conviction
I'd be your captive listener
Your greatest fan
Intent on every word
A standing ovation with
My eyes
To greet the final line
Then I could live again
And the world
Be full of light
Once more

If I could give you more
If I could give you more
Before I sleep
If you weep upon the shore
Below the final precipice
Keep a memory of me
Though if the windy grass
Will mark my passing more
I cannot say
Time belongs to you and
I have gone away
